Dolphin viewing tours are offered where, if you’re in luck, these amazing creatures will swim alongside your boat. Venture a little further afield and you’ll find plenty of more unusual things to see and do. Cerro da Vila archaeological museum has a ruined Roman Villa with bathhouses and mosaics. Well worth a visit. The Quarteira River has fishing and hiking trails along its banks. At the fish market – Mercado do Piexe – foodies will see some of the incredible variety of fish that are found in the local waters. To round off the day, why not have a flutter on the roulette tables at the Vilamoura casino?
