Elba Sunset Mallorca

Palma Nova | Majorca | Balearic Islands

 |

Magaluf and Palma Nova with their sandy beaches are two of the most popular resorts in Mallorca and staying at the newly renovated 4-star Hotel Elba Sunset Mallorca gives you the best of both. The property is located between the two resorts in a peaceful residential hilltop area in a really stunning cliff-top location.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the rooftop swimming pool. The Skypool is for adults only but there’s a second freshwater pool in the hotel’s grounds. Before you hit the town in the evening, head for the hotel’s Thalasso Spa where a range of treatments – very often using products sourced on the island – are available. A daily breakfast buffet is served at the Gallery Restaurant, while an a la carte menu is offered at the hotel’s rooftop Bow Restaurant, where guests can admire magnificent views over the island.

Although the lively resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf are almost on the doorstep of the Hotel Elba Sunset Mallorca, it’s well worth hiring a car for a day or two and exploring the island. The largest of the Balearic Islands, Majorca is characterised by white beaches, luxurious resorts and vivacious nightlife. This urban charm found on the southern side of the island is matched in popularity by the wild, jagged seaside cliffs, mountainous ridges and azure coves in its northern part. Start your exploration of Majorca from the top of Bellver Castle in Palma. Perched on top of a hill, it offers panoramic views of the area below and the mountains rising in the background. Walk along the seafront until you come to the majestic Majorca Cathedral and the Royal Palace of L’Almudaina, two amazing sites covered in Majorcan history. Among other stunning landmarks, remember to visit the surreal Joan Miro Museum, the beautiful buildings around Plaça del Mercat, and the Pueblo Español museum. Outside the capital, you can explore the breath-taking Caves of Drach near Porto Cristo. Small boats will take you through lit-up caves where numerous stalactites hang from the ceiling. Regardless of what brings you to Majorca, you’re guaranteed to find something new and enchanting about this sun-swept destination.
